YOUNG EXPLORERS

Ages 6–11

Explore • Experience • Achieve

A nurturing primary programme using animals, nature, growing, cooking, creativity and practical learning to develop curiosity, confidence and engagement.

Learning can include practical Maths and English alongside communication, relationships, independence and emotional development and AQA unit awards.

Older Young Explorers can also access:

PATHWAYS

Ages 11–16

A Different Route to Achievement

Personalised secondary education for young people who need a different environment in which to succeed.

Pathways can combine Maths and English, practical learning, personal development, AQA unit awards and preparation for the next stage.

Learners can work towards:

Young Leaders Award | 11+
I Can Lead Award | 13+

The destination might be reintegration, qualifications, college, training or another appropriate next step.

NEXT STEPS

Ages 16–19

Skills for Life. Confidence for the Future.

Our personalised post-16 programme focuses on independence, employability, life skills and preparation for adulthood.

Learning can include cooking, budgeting, communication, community skills, AQA unit awards, workplace behaviours and independent living alongside:

Farm Connect

Connect • Experience • Grow

Farm Connect offers schools a flexible way for students to benefit from the unique learning environment at River Bourne Community Farm.

Schools can choose for students to attend as a regular weekly experience, or as part of an accredited programme leading to a nationally recognised qualification. All students will have the opportunity to gain AQA unit awards.

Students can take part in:

Animal care • Nature • Growing • Cooking • Outdoor learning • Team challenges

For schools looking to provide a longer-term programme, students can work towards Skills and Awards Group qualifications at Award or Certificate level, depending on the number of guided learning hours completed throughout the year.
